This describes what happens to personal data in connection with this website. It is short because the site does very little.

This site sets no cookies

Not one, of any kind. There is nothing to accept or reject, so there is no cookie banner. Nothing is stored in your browser by this site and nothing is read back out of it.

There is no analytics and no tracking

No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no heat mapping, no A/B testing tool. Your visit is not counted, profiled or measured by us.

Nothing on this site loads from anyone else

Every file the page needs comes from this website's own address: the stylesheets, the one small script, the images and the typeface. The typeface in particular is served from here rather than from a font service, because loading a font from someone else's server would hand your IP address to a company you have no relationship with, in exchange for nothing.

So there are no third-party requests at all, and no transfer of your data to any other organisation as a result of viewing this site. A build check refuses to publish this site if a request to another domain is added to it.

Two links do point elsewhere: the sign-in link goes to the GlazeQuote app, and the company link goes to the AA2 website. Nothing is sent to either until you choose to follow the link.

The server keeps a normal access log

This site is hosted by Hostinger, and like any web server theirs records the requests it answers. Those records usually include the IP address that made the request, the time, the page asked for and the browser's own description of itself. That is a function of the hosting, not something GlazeQuote adds or uses: we do not read those logs to analyse visitors, and they are not joined to anything else.

If you email us

The only way this site invites you to give us anything is the email address above. There is no contact form, and there is no newsletter.

  • What we get. Whatever you put in the message: your name, your email address, your company, and anything you choose to write. If you sign off with a phone number, we have that too.
  • Where it goes. The mailbox is hosted by Hostinger, whose mail servers handle the domain's incoming mail. The message is read by AA2 staff who work on GlazeQuote, and by nobody else. It is not fed into a marketing list or a CRM by the act of sending it.
  • Why we are allowed to handle it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: you have written to a business address to start a business conversation, and replying to you is the obvious and expected use of what you sent.
  • How long we keep it. An enquiry that does not become a working relationship is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, which matches AA2 Ltd's published retention policy for enquiries. If we do end up working together, the correspondence is kept for as long as that work runs and afterwards for the period our legal, accounting and tax obligations require, which is typically at least six years.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have anything inaccurate corrected;
  • have your data erased where we have no continuing reason to hold it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is settled;
  • object to our use of it, including where we rely on legitimate interests as we do here;
  • ask for the data you gave us in a portable form, where that right applies; and
  • complain to the regulator, without asking us first.

To use any of them, write to hello@glazequote.co.uk. We will answer within one month. There is no charge.

Complaining to the regulator

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. You do not have to. The supervisory authority for the United Kingdom is the Information Commissioner's Office, and you can complain to them directly at ico.org.uk.
